Participation in this online training will help municipal staff reduce budget stress by providing strategies to improve the year-round budget management process. Specifically, instructors will demonstrate how to set up, implement, and monitor a municipal budget. Techniques will be presented that help build the budget, manage fund balances, adjust for changing financial conditions, and provide for inter-fund transfers. Communication techniques will be addresses to help municipal officials present their budget to both the governing body and the public.
